On Friday, the cruise ship Carnival Dream was pulled from service after a fire broke out in one of its engine rooms. The incident comes days after another cruise ship, the MSC Seaside, had to be evacuated due to an onboard fire.

The costa asia ships is a cruise ship that was recently pulled from China. It has been speculated that the reason for this was because of the fear of pollution.

Costa Cruises has updated the schedules for two of its newest ships, the Venezia Costa and Toscana’s Coast, for the years 2022-2023.

Venezia Costa

Costa Venezia made her debut in 2019 and was built specifically for the Asian market, where she started her career sailing from China. Costa Cruises will now remove the ship from Asia and relocate it to the Mediterranean, at least temporarily.

From May 2022, Venezia will offer three distinct roundtrip routes from Istanbul, Turkey. Each schedule has been intended to provide passengers extra time at the ports, enabling them to explore and enjoy the sites.

Costa Venezia

Costa Venezia will offer two one-week itineraries devoted to Turkey and Greece, which will alternate between May 1 and November 13, 2022. They may be bundled into a single 15-day “super tour” with eight port visits lasting more than 10 hours each.

The first itinerary comprises a two-day, one-night layover in Istanbul, followed by trips to Izmir and Bodrum in Turkey, Mykonos Island, and Athens, Greece.

Before traveling to Rhodes and Heraklion, Greece, the second itinerary will include two two-day, one-night breaks in Istanbul and Kusadasi, Turkey.

The ship will provide a third 12-day route through Turkey, Egypt, Israel, and Cyprus in winter 2022-2023. Istanbul will be visited for two days and one night, followed by Bodrum, Limassol, Haifa for two days and one night, Egypt’s Alexandria, and Kusadasi.

On these Costa Venezia cruises, shore excursions will feature things like a private performance in a Roman amphitheater in Ephesus, sleeping in homes cut into the rock in Cappadocia, exploring the natural springs of Pamukkale, and more.

In the first part of October, Venezia’s new itineraries will be available for booking.

Costa Toscana

Costa Toscana, Costa Cruises’ next flagship, is presently under construction and expected to be delivered in December. On March 5, 2022, the liquefied natural gas-powered ship will begin operation.

From March 5 onwards, the itineraries of the Toscana remain unaltered; she will sail week-long excursions in the western Mediterranean, stopping at Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Valencia, Palermo, and Civitavecchia (the port for Rome).

Costa Luminosa will sail the vessel’s itineraries originally planned from December 18 to early March 2022, canceling Luminosa’s program of lengthy winter cruises in the Mediterranean owing to Israeli limitations.

“Waiting for the return of cruises to Asia, we have decided to bring the Costa Venezia back to the Mediterranean to offer a truly unique, never-before-seen cruise program, that will only be available with Costa,” said Costa Cruises Chief Commercial Officer Roberto Alberti of the itinerary changes for the Costa Venezia and Toscana.

“At the center of this new offering is Turkey, which includes Istanbul, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. In keeping with our strategy of progressively resuming operations, we’ve chosen to delay the launch of our new flagship, the Costa Toscana, until March 2022.”

China is rejected by yet another ship.

wonder of the seas

In other recent news, Royal Caribbean revealed last week that the Wonder of the Seas, its forthcoming Oasis-class ship, would not make its debut in China as planned. Instead, the ship will begin its journey in March 2022, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Caribbean. Wonder will depart for the Mediterranean in May for the summer season.
