Carnival Cruise Line announced that it would restart its cruises from New Orleans, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city in 2005. The company will use a new terminal at the port of New Orleans to resume operations.

Carnival Cruise Line will finally restart cruises from New Orleans. The cruise line has been working on the project for a while and it is finally happening.

Due to the effect of Hurricane Ida and an agreement with FEMA to lodge first responders assisting in the city’s return to normalcy, Carnival Cruise Line’s return to New Orleans has not gone quite as planned. The Carnival Glory, meanwhile, will resume sails on September 19 after the first two voyages were canceled.

The Carnival of Glory will resume on September 19th.

Carnival Glory will resume cruise operations from New Orleans on September 19, after a brief hiatus. The ship was supposed to leave the city again on September 5th. Despite this, Carnival Cruise Line canceled the trip when Hurricane Ida struck the city at the end of August.

Carnival Glory was unable to arrive at the port to resume operations since New Orleans was under emergency management at the time, and the road to the cruise terminal was blocked. The city was severely damaged by the category 4 hurricane, and there have been power outages ever since.

On September 3, Carnival Glory was finally permitted to pass across the Mississippi River and into New Orleans. The ship’s departure on September 12 was also canceled when the cruise company reached an agreement with the city and FEMA to accommodate first responders, city and utility employees, and other emergency personnel aboard the Carnival cruise ship until September 18.

Despite the fact that lodging the employees was excellent news for the city’s recovery, customers booked for the September 5 and September 12 cruises had their reservations canceled.
