Disney Cruise Line is back sailing from the capital of the world, Miami. While weather has been a factor in some other parts of Florida this year, it turns out that hurricanes have not affected Miami tourism to any significant degree. In fact, many tourists are coming into town for Thanksgiving and then will be taking a cruise with Disney Cruise Line at least once during their stay.

Disney Magic welcomed her first passengers aboard from her new homeport of PortMiami after successfully completing a season of Staycation holidays in the United Kingdom. The ship will be docked at the world’s cruise capital for the foreseeable future.
Guests may choose from a variety of 4- and 5-day cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas, practically all of which include a stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay. The Disney Magic is the second ship to return to Florida; the Disney Dream is based at Port Canaveral.
The Magic of Disney Returns to the United States
The Disney Magic was the first Disney Cruise ship to resume service earlier this year, sailing from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle, and Tilbury on a series of two, three, and four-night voyages. Staycations came to an end a while ago, and Disney Magic has already made her trip to PortMiami, where she greeted just under 1,500 passengers this week.
The ship will depart from Miami and provide a variety of 4- and 5-day trips to the Caribbean and Bahamas. The ship cruised around the Bahamas for three nights this week, stopping at Nassau and Castaway Cay. The four-night cruises will visit the same locations as the three-night trips and include a day at sea.

A day at sea, two full days at Disney’s Castaway Cay, and a day in Nassau are included in the 5-night Bahamas cruises. The five-night Caribbean cruises will depart from Miami and stop in Castaway Cay the following day. Following that, there will be a day at sea, a day in Cozumel, Mexico, and another day at sea.
The Disney Magic was Disney Cruise Line’s first cruise ship, launched in 1998. Fincantieri constructed the 2,700-passenger ship in Italy, and it weighs 83,338 gross tons.
The Return of Disney Sailing
The cruise company has decided to resume operations for all four ships in stages, beginning with the Disney Magic sailing in the United Kingdom. On August 9, the Disney Dream set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, for the first time.
On September 11, the Disney Fantasy began service from Port Canaveral. All three ships are now available for trips in the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

The Disney Wonder sailed from San Diego, California, earlier last month. The ship is now travelling around the Mexican Riviera on a tour. She will relocate to Galveston, Texas, on November 19 for a series of Western Caribbean excursions to Cozumel and Costa Maya.
Under the Conditional Sailing Order, Disney has set strong health and safety procedures in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control’s regulations. Guests aged 12 and above must be fully vaccinated and ready to complete a COVID-19 test before embarking on any trip.

Younger visitors do not need to be vaccinated, but they must have a pre-trip negative result for COVID-19 from an NAAT test, quick PCR test, or lab-based PCR test.
The Disney Wonder repositioning trip from Los Angeles to Galveston is an exception to this rule. Disney Voyage Line will only let fully immunized passengers aboard for this cruise.

The new ship will be the first ever Disney Cruise Line vessel with an indoor water park, and it will also be the largest Disney Cruise Line vessel so far at 4,000 passengers.
