American Queen Cruises is one of the most affordable cruise lines in the world. Even on a budget, you can experience some amazing American landmarks like Niagara Falls and explore all there is to see by boat.

American Queen Steamboat Company has been operating the Great Lakes since 1887. The company offers a variety of cruises that explore the Great Lakes.

With American Queen Voyages, you may cruise across North America’s five Great Lakes and the renowned St. Lawrence River.

The cruise service provides four different itineraries that allow passengers to see British Strongholds, New England colonies, and uncommon stops in picturesque French Canadian villages and Victorian-era cities. Passengers may learn about the region’s maritime history, as well as the region’s secluded islands, indigenous cultures, and animals.

The Victory II’s Montreal to Detroit cruise is an 11-day route that allows passengers to enjoy both cosmopolitan flare and natural majesty in one excursion.

Guests overnight at a hotel in either Montreal or Detroit before departing for Quebec City and the picturesque St. Lawrence Seaway. Gananoque, Ontario, Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Cleveland are among the ship’s stops.

The Splendor of the Great Lakes is an 11-day cruise that departs from Chicago and sails to Toronto (or reverse). Guests may sail aboard the Victory I or the Victory II and learn about the United States’ nautical history.

Starting in Chicago, the voyage begins with a stay at a hotel. Before travelling to Mackinac Island and then Sault Ste Marie, guests may enjoy magnificent sailing around Lake Michigan. After then, the cruise continues to Little Current/Manitoulin Island in Ontario, with picturesque sailing on Lake Huron before calling in to Detroit and Cleveland.

The 13-day Great Lakes Grand Discovery, which explores Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and the southern Canadian shore, is also available. After a one-night stay in a hotel, passengers board in Chicago. The cruise includes picturesque Lake Michigan sailing, a stop on Mackinac Island, a trip to Sault Ste. Marie, and a visit to Little Current/Manitoulin Island. Cruisers enjoy gorgeous sailing on Lake Huron with stops in Detroit, Cleveland, Niagara Falls, and Toronto before continuing on to Lake Ontario for further spectacular cruising. Montreal is the last destination.

The Lakeside Treasures, a 16-day roundtrip cruise from Chicago, is the penultimate Great Lakes cruise.

The tour begins with a hotel overnight, as it does with the previous sailings. On the second day, visitors board the Victory II for a trip to Mackinac Island. Before arriving in Duluth, Minnesota, the ship stops at Marquette and Houghton, Michigan. Thunder Bay, Ontario, is the next destination, followed by Sault Ste. Marie, Green Bay, and Muskegon. The ship then docks in Chicago, where passengers may disembark.

One-night pre-cruise hotel stays, ground transfers between the hotel and the vessel, unlimited guided tours, unlimited beverages, open bars and lounges, dining in multiple venues, all-day in-room dining, unlimited Wi-Fi access, hiking sticks, and live entertainment onboard are all included in American Queen Voyages’ cruises.

The Coastal Dining Room and the Grill on the Victory I and Victory II contain traditional staterooms, exquisite public areas, and dining. Live entertainment is available in the Compass Lounge, as well as refreshments in the Tavern. The sun terrace is perfect for reading a book, sipping a drink, and taking in the surroundings. A fitness facility, spa, and salon are also available aboard.

Cruises on the Great Lakes start at $4,999 per person, based on double occupancy.
