As the world enters an era of digital transformation, travel is one industry that has yet to feel this change. Hurtigruten’s announcement will be a step in the right direction for companies like Expedia and TripAdvisor, who may soon see competition from blockchain-powered travelers.
The “hurtigruten expeditions reviews” is an article that shares the positive experiences of travelers who have taken Hurtigruten Expeditions.
Hurtigruten Expeditions has stated that via its Hurtigruten Foundation, it would give 1% of all North American bookings for Alaska and the Galápagos booked in November and December to the Alaska Wilderness League and the Galápagos Conservancy.
The world’s leading adventure travel company will begin its inaugural Galápagos expedition cruises in January 2022, and its first full season in Alaska will begin in summer 2022 aboard the MS Roald Amundsen. Hurtigruten will provide two routes, both southbound and northbound, with 14-day and 18-day sailings. The Alaskan Peninsula, the Aleutian Islands, and the uninhabited St. Paul and St. Matthew Islands are all included in the 18-day cruise.

Donations will be split among three multi-year, multi-partner activities under Hurtigruten’s new relationship with Galápagos Conservancy, including efforts to recover giant tortoises, fortify the Galápagos Marine Reserve, and rescue pink land iguanas.
“‘Take just memories, leave nothing but footprints,’ as the old travel business adage goes, is no longer sufficient. This is why the Alaska Wilderness League and the Galápagos Conservancy are partners with whom we are both pleased and honored. Together, we will continue our efforts to protect the nature and wildlife that are such an integral part of the lives of the Alaskan Natives who welcome us into their communities and homes, as well as the endemic species of the Galápagos Islands, where we are converting footprints from previous centuries into a new future for these unique archipelago’s endemic species “Hurtigruten Foundation Managing Director Henrik A. Lund said in a statement.
“One of the fundamental pillars of what we do is to support local people, animals, and ecology in the places we visit. For our North American visitors, Alaska and the Galápagos Islands are two of the nearest and most popular forthcoming destinations “Hurtigruten Expeditions CEO Asta Lassesen noted. “The Hurtigruten Foundation’s many other important efforts are complemented by these grants. From our ships to our Citizen Science programs and excursions to our giving back initiatives, we want to make sure that our guests feel they are making the right choice when it comes to sustainable travel when they choose us.”
