Majestic Princess Lotus Spa and Specialty Dining is a new destination on the Las Vegas Strip. The spa offers a variety of treatments, including an exclusive “Royal Treatment” that includes a foot massage, a facial, and a body wrap with a glass of champagne.

The majestic princess dining menu is a restaurant that specializes in Asian cuisine. It is located on the top floor of the Majestic Princess Lotus Spa and Specialty Dining.

Majestic Princess’ voyage into Ensenada was magnificent, thanks in part to a stunning dawn breaking over the mountains that dot the Baha peninsula. It was one of those unique moments that made you happy you got up early to see it.

The air was crisp, and there was surprisingly little noise from the decks above my balcony. The only noises were the ship’s motion across the ocean and the distant barking of sea lions as we approached Mexico.

I realized this morning that I only had one day left until we flew back to Los Angeles and I had to travel back to Jacksonville, and I still had a lot of distance to cover. So, instead of going ashore today, I remained aboard the ship to do as much exploration as possible.

The first stop was the World Fresh Market for breakfast, which is a quick and easy way to start the day. It’s worth noting that there are two methods to be served at the buffet: either tell the crew members what you want and they will plate it for you, or walk to the grab-and-go station where pre-plated salads, smoothies, fruits, and desserts are available.

A crew member stands at each door as you enter the buffet area to ensure you wash your hands. I was blown away by how serious they take this endeavor. They require that you wash your hands even if you aren’t eating and are going to the aft-facing bar.

Even though the virus’s surface transmission rates are minimal (the CDC estimated them to be about 1 in 10,000 in a study released in April), it’s nice to see the cruise company taking precautions to safeguard its passengers.

I returned to the Wake View Bar, laptop in hand, to sit and work for a couple of hours. I saw Holland America’s ms Westerdam parked next to us as I walked out the rear door. It has been out of operation since March of last year, like many other ships.

The ship isn’t anticipated to be back in operation until the Alaska cruise season in May 2022. Many of these Alaska-bound ships remain effectively homeless until the season starts or it becomes economically viable to repurpose the ship in another area of the nation.

The spa room is one of my favorite parts of the Royal-class. During a Sky Princess trip in December of 2019, I initially fell in love with the Lotus Spa. The Enclave, as the brand refers to its thermal suite, is available for $40 per day on Majestic.

You may also save money by purchasing a pass that covers the whole journey. The thermal suite was on deck 5 in the ship’s front section, and you were given a locker key and an access keycard to swipe in and out.

The heated tile loungers are my favorite feature of the thermal suite. It’s terrible to say, but the older I grow, the more they appeal to my back. In this area, there were 12 heated loungers. The mineral pool, which featured many different jets, a cascading shower cascade, and racks to sit or lie on, was the most popular feature in the thermal spa. Four aromatherapy showers and a Turkish-style steam room were also available.

I used almost every facility during my three-and-a-half-hour stay at the spa, but the steam chamber isn’t for me since I can’t stand being in tight quarters. (You’re talking to someone who needs an aisle seat on a plane, and if the hotel shuttle bus doesn’t have any, I’ll get off and get an Uber.)

When you’re having fun, they say time flies, but when you’re resting in a spa, time goes even faster. It was noon before I knew it.

A free noodle bar and a burger and lobster restaurant are also available poolside. A crew member accepts your order at each location. On the noodle side, the chef prepares your meal as you wait, while on the burger side, a pager system was utilized. The $15 lobster roll was the sole for-fee dish at any location.

If you’re charging $15 for a lobster roll, make it a bit bigger and with more flesh and less filler. For the same price, you can buy one in Boston with fresh lobster. (Note: The last time I cruised, Carnival’s lobster roll at Seafood Shack was $12 and Royal’s was $14.95, both with double the flesh as what was offered here.)

If I had to choose between the two poolside restaurants, I’d go with the Asian restaurant. I ordered a pork wonton soup with cilantro and Asian flavors from the noodle bar, and it was excellent. Cold chicken tacos and a tiny lobster roll were served on the opposite side.

The bacon cheese fries were a pleasant surprise.

I did disembark for five minutes at Ensenada simply to claim I went off the ship, but once I saw the port’s little shops were closed, I immediately boarded again.

The gym on Majestic Princess is well-equipped, with basic cardio and strength-building equipment, as well as a dance studio off to the side. On deck 17, there is some small workout equipment adjacent to the basketball court if you wish to work out outside.

When it comes to wearing masks at the gym, they informed me that it’s not necessary if you’re jogging or doing hard cardio, but that you should mask up for anything else. Except for a few pictures and video shoots, I didn’t get it inside the gym this sailing.

The kid’s club was another location I didn’t get to see since it was always closed when I passed by. It’s also on deck 17 aft, much like the gym. I saw three separate sections for kids 3-7, 8-12, and 13-17 as I walked past. We only had a few youngsters under the age of 18 on our cruise, so it’s possible they didn’t operate them at all or just had restricted hours of operation.

Tonight’s dinner was at Harmony, a speciality restaurant. If you’re acquainted with Princess’ offers and are wondering why you’ve never heard of this location, it’s because Sabatini’s, an Italian restaurant, is located on other Royal class ships.

Because the Majestic Princess was designed for the Asian market, a Chinese restaurant was an obvious choice. This establishment, like Crown Grill, charges a $29 fee per person. The dinner moved at a faster speed than the night before at the French restaurant, and we had already got our appetizer, soup, and entrée within 50 minutes.

The meals are served family-style rather than individually plated, which is convenient since you can order a spread for the table and sample everything. To begin, we ordered crispy salt and pepper chicken, shrimp spring rolls, and crab rangoon, then pork wonton soup.

General Tsos chicken and wok-fried lobster ($12 add-on) were the entrée options. The dessert was red bean crème brûlée, which I wasn’t expecting to enjoy, but it was delicious and nearly tasted like a Boston baked bean candy.

We took a walk around the atrium after supper to see what was going on and to check out the International Café, which I had managed to miss the whole journey. This Princess institution is renowned for its coffee, tea, and small snacks choices. The meal is provided free of charge, but the drinks are not.

You may also buy the Grounds Coffee Package, which has a pre-determined price that you can pay before your voyage. It was just before your departure that I discovered that it could not be bought aboard.

Now it’s time to go to your bed. I’ll be back in Los Angeles when I wake up, and it’ll be time to exchange this ship for a flight back to Florida.
